Hai He

The Hai River (), previously called '''Pei Ho''' (), is a River in China which flows through Beijing and Tianjin into Bohai Gulf of the Yellow Sea . It is 1,329 Km long. Its basin has an area of approximately 319,000 Km&2 (123,000 Square Mile s). Its annual flow is only half that of the Yellow River or one-thirtieth that of the Yangtze River .

At Tianjin, through the Grand Canal , the Hai connects with the Yellow and Yangtze rivers.

Like the Yellow River, the Hai is exceedingly muddy because of the powdery soil through which it flows.
